METAFIT is a short high intensity interval training (HIIT) session. It uses a range of exercises that utilise your own body weight. Suitable for all levels of fitness, works the muscles, strengthens the core and burns the fat.
Each Session Has. A mobility warm up. A non-choreographed, bodyweight only workout, combining the latest HIIT training techniques with traditional 'Old School’ bodyweight exercises to set the metabolism on fire! Finished off with a relaxed stretch.
It’s not choreographed - so no dancing routines to worry about. The core session varies between 18 and 25 minutes only, so with a warm up and cool down you’re all done in about 45mins.
Is it for me? Definitely: METAFIT is suitable for all levels of fitness - the focus is to get the movements right, then work as hard as you are able. You are only competing against yourself, nobody else - simples!
Sounds tough…! Yes it is .. You'll work the whole body and major muscle groups in short bursts to build your body’s endurance, power and efficiency. The METAFIT workout increases your resting metabolic rate so your body continues to get the benefit for up to 24 hours after the class has finished.
What do I need to bring? Yourself and a water bottle (small towel optional), mats will be provided.
